The 7 Biggest Mistakes people make when choosing a printer and how to avoid them!

1) Pick a printer based only on price. Not a good idea.
You get what you pay for which is not always high quality guaranteed. Also you may be charged extra for things other printers include in the price such as artwork and plates.

2) All printers are the same. Not true.
Obviously some printers offer better service than others. Ask some basic questions, like what type of work they do, what is the average turnaround time, as well as any unique questions relevant to your needs.

3) There are always three or more competing printers. Not necessarily a good thing.
A good printer has a firm loyal customer base so does not need to deal on price alone. All good printers will be loyal to you, if you are loyal to them.

4) Having the right equipment is all a printer needs. Not always.
Many printers have great equipment but its the experience of the operators that counts.

5) You don't give your printer enough time to print your job properly. Not good.
Mistakes happen when you rush. You can also save time, money and headaches from the very beginning by fully communicating with your printer.

6) You pick printers who don't guarantee their work. Not very clever.
All reputable printers will guarantee their work automatically. Which means if they make a mistake they will re-run your job without charge.

7) You don't ask for references. Not advisable.
This is probably the easiest way to avoid problems with a printer. Ask for at least three customers names and how long they have worked for them, then check with their customers.
